Saudi women excel in meteorology careers
Mostly weather experts are men that tell us when the weather is good or bad. But, now in Saudi Arabia the women are turning their skills in others fields, so now Saudi women have started to tell the weather and play the role in meteorologists. The Saudi meteorologist department has recruited three women who mastered the field.
THE FIRST WOMEN THAT RECEIVE METEOROLOGIST TRAINING.
MAJDA AL-AZMI is the first women that receive the meteorological training. She said that she has come to this area to pursue a career as a meteorologist. She serves as a programmer and climate analyst in the department.
THE SECOND WOMEN THAT RECEIVE METEOROLOGICAL TRAINING
The second Saudi women working in the meteorological department is the SAMEER AL-ASSIRI
- She is the coeditor of international relations.
- She also tells about her job that it is her duty to keep in mind the technical guidelines and requirements issued by the world meteorological organizations (WMO). She prepare reports in the light of the recommendations and resolutions of global conference and meetings.
