English education will mandatory from first class

Saudi Education Minister Dr. Hamad Al-Shaikh has said that children in public schools will be taught English in first class.


“After two years, English will be compulsory from first class,” he says.

During an interview with a local TV channel, the education minister said that “we have the consequences of not teaching English in early classes,” according to the lesson website.

 

“The experience of teaching English from fourth class was not good,” he says. That’s why it’s now mandatory from the first class.

The Education Minister has said that the education curriculum is being reviewed again. It will be synchronized with time. The curriculum review committee is working.’

“It will take some time to develop a new curriculum,” he said. Hope that after two years, the new curriculum will be in schools
