FINE FOR LEAVING THE VEHICLE ON START
As the weather of Saudi Arabia is hot. Most of the people leave their cars to start only because closing the vehicle eliminates AC cooling. In Saudi Arabia, leaving a car is not new for shopping but now the number of car thefts has increased. Most of the incidents occur in which the cars were stolen when the car 🚗 was on start state. The law enforcement agencies say that most people who steal start cars are between the ages of 20 and 30. According to the information published in the local newspaper, the thieves which are professionals are between 30 and 50 years old. These professional thieves sell all parts of the vehicle. Taking to the awake newspaper the victims of the car theft shared their experiences.

ADIL AL-JAHNI, a citizen said” just parked the car in front of a shop to buy a lighter and had not arrived at the shop door, leaving the car in the start state that the car was stolen in front of my eyes. He says that it was probably 15 seconds. I was a few meters away. I saw a 20 years old boy sitting in my car and fleeing before my eyes. After a week he got the car but all four tires were missing and the body was damaged too. Another citizen said that he left the car and went to the store for a cold drink. The car was missing when he returned. When he checked the shop CCTV camera, it was discovered the car had been stolen. He says instead of immediately conveying the information to the police, the police had fined me. A month later I got my car but the four tires, speakers and screens were also missing in the car.

FINE IN CASE OF VIOLATION
In case of violation, 150 riyals fine should be imposed on the owners of the car.

The Saudi department of traffic has said that leaving the vehicle in the start state is a violation against traffic rules which will result in a fine of 100 to 150 riyals.
