Key Roles and Responsibilities
– Act as the Main Contractor/Developer’s site engineer, taking full responsibility for direct execution, resourcing, and delivery of civil and structural works — not limited to a supervisory or consultancy role.
– Supervise and execute civil and structural works (substructure, superstructure, concrete works, waterproofing) as per approved drawings and specifications.
– Support and contribute to the execution and coordination of architectural works, as the Civil Engineer role here extends beyond civil/structural works alone.
– Review structural drawings, shop drawings, and method statements for civil works prior to execution. Conduct and record formal site work inspections at each construction stage (excavation, formwork, reinforcement, concrete pour, backfilling) prior to sign-off and progression to the next stage.
– Coordinate with relevant teams to ensure compliance with codes and standards.
– Monitor materials, workmanship, and quality on site.
– Manage direct labor and subcontractor quantities for payment certification.
– Prepare and verify quantity take-offs and measurement of executed works for interim payment certificates and variation/change order evaluation.
– Coordinate directly with the Technical Team and design consultants on RFIs, site queries, and design clarifications.
– Maintain daily site records, progress reports, and as-built documentation.
– Ensure adherence to health and safety requirements during civil and architectural works activities.
Minimum Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience in towers and branded 5-star hotels.
